| Bio: | I spend most of my life online. In the daytime I build web applications for a variety of clients. In the evenings I build personal interest websites such as this one, and work on various open-source software projects.
I've been politically active in a number of causes over the last 15 or so years. Occasionally I try to give it up, to spend my time and energy just having fun instead, but I can't help myself - I soon end up getting involved again. I don't think we're living in a police state. I'm not even sure if it's possible to end up in a definitive police state in the UK. I do believe that our society, our politics and our policing, is starting to have some characteristics in common with a police state - and I think that's something we should be looking to correct, and to avoid, and to prevent. |
